Robinson Public Library District

Robinson Public Library District will begin offering curbside services as well as limited usage of public access computers and home delivery of library materials to those in need beginning on Monday, June 1, 2020. Patrons wanting to check out or return materials may call the library for an appointment. In the case of requested items for pickup, library staff will need the name of the author(s), title of the book(s) requested. The staff will then check the availability of the material. If available for pickup, the staff will request the patron’s name to record the checkout in the system. They will also request the patron’s phone number, make and model of the vehicle being used when picking up the material and provide an estimated time that the materials can be picked up in the library parking lot. Patrons will be asked to remain in their vehicles. The staff will bring the materials to them. A photo ID will be required by the patron at the time of pickup. Patrons that need access to the library’s computers and internet may call the facility ahead of time to schedule an appointment. Appointments will be scheduled on the hour. Patrons will be limited to forty-five minutes of computer time. Computers are spaced at least six feet apart and disinfected between usages. Patrons are required to wear facemasks and use sanitizer upon entering the building. Patrons using computers are asked to limit their printing to ten pages or less. Printing, copying and faxing services will also be available at this time. Those services will be subject to the same guidelines for social distancing as curbside services. The library is temporarily waiving the standard fees generally associated with copying, printing and faxing services. Patrons who are homebound and unable to come to the library for curbside services can request to have materials delivered to their home. This service is for Robinson Public Library District cardholders residing in the city limits of the facility nearest their home. To request items for curbside or home delivery, or request an appointment for computer use, patrons may call the library during the current operating hours. The rest of the library building will remain closed to patrons during Phase 3 of the Governor’s executive order. Library officials anticipate opening the building, with some modifications, when the region moves to Phase 4. Beginning Monday, June 1, curbside delivery operating hours will be: • Robinson: Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. • Flat Rock: Tuesday and Thursday 12 noon to 5 p.m. • Hutsonville: Monday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Tuesday and Thursday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. • Oblong: Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
